Microsoft 365 Price Increases

Hi everyone

We’re now past the “Happy new year” phase of the new year, and Larry David would be pleased it’s all over. So one month in, Microsoft has made a long-expected announcement. But first, something I’m very proud of, and we can build something like this for you too!!

Microsoft is announcing changes to their pricing for Microsoft 365. This updated pricing is the first price change since they launched 10 years ago. The prices will take effect after 1st March 2022, on your anniversary.

Why the increase?

The way Microsoft explains it, they have re-invested in the platform over the last decade. Since first launching Microsoft 365, 24 apps have been added to the suite:

  • Teams
  • Power Apps
  • Power BI
  • Power Automate
  • Stream
  • Planner
  • Visio
  • One Drive
  • Yammer
  • Whiteboard as well as many others

What is increasing?

All prices are AUD inc GST. Annual plans are discounted beyond the prices shown below.

  • Business Basic increasing by 20% to $8.28/month/person
  • Business Premium by 10% to $33/month/person
  • E3 by 12% to $55.68/month/person
  • Office 365 E1 by 25% to $13.20/month/person
  • Office 365 E3 by 15% to $34.80/month/person
  • Office 365 E5 by 9% to $60.84/month/person

What do I have to do?

Nothing we’ll take care of everything. When your anniversary rolls around, the new pricing will automatically come into effect. For those of you on Month to month plans, the new prices will be reflected on your next invoice.
