The Challenge
Partos Plus faced several IT challenges:
Server End-of-Life: Their on-premises server was running Windows Server 2012, which was reaching its end-of-life, posing security risks and compatibility issues.
Outdated Technology: The existing IT infrastructure, including thin clients, needed to be updated and more efficient, hindering productivity and collaboration.
Data Migration and Modernisation: To move their accounting software (Attache) to the cloud, Partos Plus required a comprehensive data migration strategy and a modernised IT environment to support their evolving needs.

Microsoft 365 Implementation: Configuring and deploying Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID (for user/computer authentication), Intune (for device management), and Defender (for device security), to enhance security and streamline IT management.
Data Archival: Archiving Attache data older than 2022 in Microsoft 365 for long-term storage and compliance.
Attache Integration: Ensuring seamless integration between the Stock Updater software and the cloud-based Attache accounting software.
Decommissioning Legacy Hardware: Securely decommissioning and disposing of the old server and thin clients, reducing clutter and potential security risks.
Documentation and Training: Updating IT documentation and providing end-user training on the new Microsoft 365 platform and cloud-based tools to ensure a smooth transition and maximise user adoption.
This solution aimed to modernise Partos Plus’s IT infrastructure, enhance security and compliance, and support their business operations as they moved to a cloud-based environment.
