MSP Heartbeat Privacy Policy

MSP Heartbeat is a Chrome extension that helps MSP owners and managers notice how they're going and reach out to their peer group. This policy explains what it does with your information.

WHAT IT STORES, ON YOUR COMPUTER ONLY
• Settings you enter: your first name (optional), your pod name, your pod captain's email, your pod's Teams link, your working days and times, and your reminder voice, including any voices you create.
• Your daily check-ins: score, tags, notes, and any after-check-in chat.
• Activity totals: active minutes, start and finish times, your longest stretch without a break, after-hours minutes, and how many times you switched tabs or windows.
• Weekly reviews and a record of reach-out nudges.
• Your Anthropic API key, if you add one.
All of this is kept in your browser's local extension storage. Detailed days are kept for 26 weeks, then rolled into weekly totals.

WHAT IT NEVER COLLECTS
The websites you visit, page titles, page content, or your browsing history. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no server run by us.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR COMPUTER, AND WHEN
• Anthropic (Claude), only if you add your own API key: daily numbers (active hours, finish time, after-hours minutes, switches, longest stretch), scores, tags, your first name if set, and your notes and chat replies only if "Share my notes with Claude" is on. If you create a voice with Claude, the description you type is sent. Your captain's email, your pod link and anything about websites are never sent. Anthropic's handling of this data is covered by Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy.
• ChatGPT or Claude websites, only if you click "Create with AI" without a key: the voice description you typed is opened in that site in a new tab. Those sites' own privacy policies apply.
• Microsoft Teams, only when you click to reach out: the extension opens a Teams chat or your pod link with a message you can edit. Nothing is sent until you press send in Teams.
• Charity websites, only when you click a donate button.

YOUR CONTROL
You can export all your data (your API key is left out) or delete everything from Settings at any time. Removing the extension also removes its data.

WE DON'T SELL OR SHARE YOUR DATA
Your data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used for anything other than the features described above.
