Thank you to all who filled out the annual surveys - both the long form and single answer queries had some great information and excellent feedback and I’m really proud that the vast majority of the staff we support (75%) rated us either a 9 or 10 out of 10.

It has been a very big year for Intuitive IT.

On the Managed Services side, we've had more cases logged than ever and on the Dev side, the number of projects we've worked on increased on last year and we've built many internal tools like scripts and dashboards to provide better reporting on your systems and security

As the business owner, manager or someone with responsibility for IT systems security, the apathy shown towards your business' security should scare you. And if it doesn't then something is wrong!

If you’re a business with a web presence (which should be everybody!) it is of great importance to have that footprint covered from a mobile point of view

Everyone knows about email spam, and email viruses and malware. We can implement robust anti-malware/anti-virus systems to mitigate against these in most cases. However, a term you may have heard, ‘phishing’, is not so easy to mitigate.

20 minutes a day works out to around 86 hours per year just waiting for your computer. For a staff member earning $80,000, their hourly rate is approximately $30. That’s over $2,500/year - just in waiting!

This month I’m going to raise two similar new pieces of legislation that Australian businesses should be aware of. While they are not strictly IT related - their importance transcends any particular business unit.

I've got a 99.95% SLA (service level agreement) on my connection, they promised! This is all well and good in theory, but the general fine print to these contracts is that you’re entitled to a refund of the prorated amount of time the service was down for, over and above the SLA.

Service provisioning lead times. This sounds super boring and it sure is, but it’s also really important if you’re planning any time-sensitive changes which may involve IT support work.

Thank you to all who filled out the annual surveys - both the long form and single answer versions had plenty of responses this year, which made my little IT heart skip a beat!
